Contrary to reports in the media, Ogun State government has stated that out-going Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Mr Tokunbo Fowode, was not sacked, but that the government only approved his request to proceed on end of tenure leave.

When the students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta heard "The Wednesday Announcement" of the sack of the immediate past rector Arch. Tokunbo Fowode, little did they know that the Ogun state government led by Sen. Ibikunle Amosun has more in its fold.
